ARROW

The Arrow skateboard team was formed when Wolverhapmton millionaire businessman  Chris Clayton-Wright built the Arrow Skatepark he set out to form the worlds best overall skateboard team Using them to design & build high quality skateboard products and Skateparks.

Dave Hackett wins the Oasis Pro comp on his ARROW signature Model and Traknology Wheels .

 

The team was made up mostly of Dogtown/Z-boy skaters with a few others mixed in who at some stage or other visited or stayed in the UK at the unlimited expense of MR. Clayton-Wright (Think living in a castle, 70's rock n roll excess, groupies etc and you'll get the picture)

Steve Cathey & Chris Chaput not sure more info needed

 

However it wasn't all partying Mr. Clayton-Wright liked to see a return for his money and while in the UK they designed ARROW Skateboard Decks

Traknology Wheels 

       

and Possibly Megatron Trucks  but not sure still asking about.

which where all made in the USA

Also designing the Arrow skatepark plus 2 others which I think where Guildford & either Stevenage or Gillingham (Black Lion) .

The park was way ahead of its time 2 floors of a huge warehouse in the middle of Wolverhampton ...it had loads of 1/2 pipes, a Full pipe, wooden bowls (1 called ossie's) the others were called the spoon bowls ... the Tracknology which was a monster kind of ramp thing it was kinked to fuck probably had 4 ft + of vert... a 'U' shaped half pipe called the drain which rocked!!! rumors were that people like Kent Senatore & others were designing for the park ... after it closed down skaters basically broke in put new padlocks on the doors & skated the place for about 3 years or so getting busted by the police but it was a real killer skatepark ... there was a fire there set off  by skinheads in about 1979/80-ish & it fucking destroyed one of the bowls completely also a bit of the roof & the floor (you could see right into the floor below)  in the winter snow used to fall inside the place etc
local hot skaters were: Jeremy Green (Jer), O-jay's, Mark Ellis (elssie), Eggy, Brad ??,
